ALLWriter® Universal Programmer
An Affordable Solution For Engineering Applications
Product Description System General's Allwriter contains new technology designed to meet all budget requirements, whilst meeting the most expansionary project requirements. The revolutionary MatchCard technology on the AllWriter, enables this. The Allwriter comes with twelve standard Matchcards which are plugged into the Allwriter to program a particular device family. Each MatchCard includes additional circuitry to make the best use of the high quality pin drivers in the system! In addition, it also incorporates the electronic enhancement required to generate the cleanest environment and the best waveform quality. Therefore, the programming reliability is ensured. Additional Matchcards can be purchased for less common devices. The ALLWriter is equipped with all the key components required to generate Semi-houses certified environments. An embedded CPU ensures the correct programming timing and the pulse width of waveforms. The local power supply provides reliable programming power source. You can save time downloading your file through the high speed IEEE1284 parallel interface. The Windows software provides a powerful screen editor with commands to finish your design in one keystroke. The system supports over 20 file formats. Output files generated by Assemblers and Logic Compilers can be accepted. The programmable Vcc, down to 1.80V, assures that the ALLWriter will program the devices today and the cutting-edge green devices in the future! Like other System General programming systems, the updates are free! (see Nucleus' website for updates) About MatchCard MatchCards are small cards that need to be inserted in ALLWriter to enable device programming operations. Take the DIP48 adaptor for example; this default adaptor comes with the ALLWriter package, includes 12 MatchCards to cover the supported devices in that package. Users can easily identify which MatchCard they should use when programming a specific device by checking the Device Selection screen in the Windows software. To program the Device in packages other than DIP requires package converters which sit on top of the DIP48 adaptor plus the MatchCards that go with that specific converter. Each converter would have typically one or two associated MatchCards that work with them, respectively. The converters used on ALLWriter are essentially universal converters therefore highly shared among all the supported devices in the same package type. Customers will not be forced to spend money purchasing specific converters simply to serve one or two devices needs. This not only saves the hassles of managing bunches of converters but offers the lowest Total Ownership Cost (TOC) for users of ALLWriters. Product Specification Hardware System
