ROMTER operation guide

Features:

1. No plug-in card or external power supply is required. A PC printer port is used for data transfer and it takes 2.5 seconds to download a 64K byte binary file on a 386 PC.

2. A single printer port can control up to 4 ROMTER units by using a 20 pin connector (labelled "inter connect") mounted on the case to link multiple ROMTERs together. Each ROMTER, via an internal DIP switch setting, can independently emulate an 8bit EPROM from 64K to 4M bits.

3. The ROMTER has a tri-state output wire which can be clipped to the target system for reset purposes. During the period of data download, all ROMTERs which are connected to the same printer port will set this signal to a user-defined logic state. By connecting this wire onto the reset source pin of the target board, the target system will automatically reset at each download session.

4. The ROMTER's access time will be the sum of the internal delay of the on-board ASIC chip (15ns max.) and the access time of the SRAM chip( 70ns/20ns) installed in the ROMTER.

5. Small size (10x8x2.5 cm) and light weight(158 gm) in a plastic case.
